Hospital Accreditations

The clinics and hospitals we have selected have either Joint Commission Accreditation (JCI) or International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which signifies that they are internationally recognized in the field of healthcare .to select the best surgeons and private clinics that provide the unique and wonderful formula of world-class quality and international certifications. We have interviewed just about every surgeon and for years we have observed the cosmetic surgery results to every surgeons and specialists.

We have been to every private Hospital and clinic in Phuket. As we found, this formula is very difficult to find: often the best hospitals and surgeons are not advertised, or nor do they have web sites, as they don't need it and they are enough busy just through word of mouth.

As we found out through our research, the marketing hype of advertising or web sites doesn't mean that hospitals or surgeons are better, and it often the case that this is a smokescreen for disreputable clinics, who are trying to cash in on the plastic surgery boom.

About the Joint Commission International (JCI)

Joint Commission International (JCI) is the global arm of the US-based Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO); the same body that certifies over 18,000 hospitals in the United States. Although JCI approval is not the only accreditation available for medical tourism facilities, it is the most widely accepted industry benchmark. Over its nearly 10-year history, JCI has accredited hospitals in Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The Joint Commission launched the Joint Commission International in 1999 after a growing demand for a resource to effectively evaluate quality and safety. JCI's standards and qualifications are derived from an international consensus of achievable expectations for structures, outcomes, and processes for medical facilities. There are over 120 hospitals worldwide that are accredited through the JCI.JCI works closely with partner hospitals, government agencies, health providers, insurance companies, patients, legal experts, medical consultants, and other major players in the larger health care industry to ensure the consistency and reliability of its accreditation process.

International Organization for Standardization (ISO)

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was established in 1946 as a conglomerate of over 75 national standardization bodies from around the world’s is responsible for computer, manufacturing, and technology standards, as well as many aspects of the larger health care industry. This oversight is especially important now that many medical and dental tourism facilities around the globe rely heavily on extremely sophisticated technology and medical equipment. The ISO 9000 family addresses "quality management". This means what the organization does to fulfil:

•        The customer's quality requirements, and

•        Applicable regulatory requirements, while aiming to

•        Enhance customer satisfaction, and

•        Achieve continual improvement of its performance in pursuit of these objectives.

The ISO 14000 family addresses "environmental management". This means what the organisation does to:

•        Minimise harmful effects on the environment caused by its activities, and to

•        Achieve continual improvement of its environmental performance.

ISO is not specifically a health care accrediting body. However, ISO and its member organisations do help ensure that hospitals and dental clinics closely adhere to strict international standards. ISO accreditation means you have a much better chance of receiving optimal medical and dental care.
