2008 ESCORTED TOURS PHUKET OFFERED
In November 2007 we trialled the idea of running escorted Tours with a number of our clients. We received a very positive response from the clients that participated and have now confirmed that we will offer them to all our clients in 2008.
What is a escorted Tour?
An escorted tour is when members of our team accompany clients to phuket for their surgery. They are there to assist first hand with clients at the airports, stay at the same hotel as client to be available to answer any questions, make them selves available to attend the hospital or appointment if client wishes. Basically being a person that know the procedures, (some have had them) who to contact at the hospital, money conversion and best of all where to shop for the best bargains! ![]()

Bangkok Post Operative Care
It is imperative after surgery that you follow your surgeon’s instructions to avoid complications and ensure the best possible results from your procedure. Your specific instructions will vary depending on the surgery performed. However, there are some general post-operative care instructions to keep in mind.Following surgery, our medical staff recommends that you avoid activities that could hinder the healing process, such as smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages. We also suggest that you take at least a week away from your daily routine as well as any strenuous activities, allowing yourself time to rest and recuperate.
You should not take any drugs containing aspirin, as they will increase bruising and may even cause internal bleeding.
Your surgeon may have prescribed you Panadeine or Panadeine Forte. Both of these products contain Codeine, an ingredient that can cause constipation. If you are taking Panadeine or Panadeine Forte, it is important that you drink plenty of fluids and stay on a high fiber diet. You may also need to take a laxative during this time.
Your stitches will be removed 5-7 days after surgery. To assist with the healing process and make scars less visible, you may try using Merderma Gel available at most chemist or by rubbing Vitamin E cream into the scars twice a day for six weeks.
Many patients become depressed during the transition period following surgery, as their bruises and scars have not yet healed. However, it is important that you stay positive during this time. You may consider seeking assistance from our post operative service at this time.
Your surgeon will always schedule you for a follow-up appointment. However, if between surgery and the follow-up you experience any of the following symptoms, it is important for you to immediately contact your surgeon.:
- Excessive pain or bleeding
- Fever
- Abnormal swelling
We are dedicated to doing all we can to make your surgical experience with us as comfortable as possible.
